TGIF!

Yesterday’s thankful for: I had a truly great first day back to work yesterday. It wasn’t super busy, and I was left pretty much alone because annoying-mcannoying-pants wasn’t in. I was kind of dreading coming back, so that was a nice surprise and it made me feel better about the coming year. Also, I had some good times with a couple of guildies last night that just made me happy on the inside, and we got some stuff done in game that I like to get done, so that was great.

I have to wholeheartedly agree with that quote. I find myself extremely odd. I constantly live in the past and am forever worrying about tomorrow, and never truly appreciate ‘today’. Then, I sit here and wonder why time flies! I think if I took more time to really focus here in the present and appreciate today, annoyances and all, perhaps time would slow down a little. There’s always that ..”Oh I can’t wait till Friday” or “I can’t wait for my vacation…” and it really does come around super quickly so enjoy TODAY.  

I find people odd (myself included). I admit, I am not the best when it comes to keeping in touch with people… but I really do try. I often just get so into my own head, it’s been a few days before I’ve touched base with the sisinlaw or friend from overseas, etc. But I try … I reach out to them. Point is, in all that time, they never reach out to me. I can go ‘missing’ for like 5 days and no one will say a word …  

Same thing goes for a couple of people who claim to be friends (people I’ve known for many years). I have to ALWAYS initiate contact (and I’m the worst at it). I suppose it’s possible that I simply make friends with folks that are just like me, but I feel like I’m the one constantly trying to reconnect, where others really aren’t. I kind of want to ‘give up’ on these types of people, but I dunno. Maybe I’m being too hasty. As I said… odd.  

I dug out one of my old cameras last night, but the quality was so meh I put it right back. Lol. I really don’t want to spend money on another camera I really most likely will not use … I don’t! I am trying to find my canon, because that one took some pretty good photos but I have no clue where it might be. My whole room/zone need a serious cleaning. Maybe I’ll take that up this weekend.
